Something Significant

WISHING EVERYONE HAD A MERRY CHRISTMAS! :) It is time now to welcome 2016 and I

hope I can do all my new year's resolution. I am always sentiment when new year is about to come.

I don't know why but maybe because everyone is starting a new life, a new beginning and I don't

want to be left behind. Okay, this is getting emotional already! HAHA! This blog post is more of

a life lesson learned So,  While browsing the web, I found this question "What is a mistake you made

early in your career that you learned from? While they were/are many mistakes that I have made and

will continue to make, whether it may be in personal/career life there was one absolutely decisive

things that I want to share. FIGHT for what you want. If it will make you a better person and you

think it will benefit not just you but also the people around you, then DO IT! You are never getting

young! Don't be afraid to explore and know what you really want. If I could turn back time, I wish

my 20 year old me had enough strength and courage to seek new opportunities. I'm just so fortunate

right now to fix everything. It's not easy but with faith, hope, prayers and hard work I can say that

I'm getting there to my goals and I know it's not going to be easy. I'm just feeling ecstatic to finally be

able to stand on my own and make my own decisions that I can finally be proud of. To that person

who is reading this, its okay to make mistakes because you will learn from it and you know better

what to do now. Hang on! You will be okay! You know the motto of the movie Meet the

Robinson's.....

"KEEP MOVING FORWARD"

Everyday Make Up

I was born having a sensitive skin. It easily gets dry and chapped especially my lips! ( I hate it!) I

cannot go to sleep without putting moisturizer on my face and lotion all over my body. I guess, I

got it from my mother. (why!! HAHA!) Anyway, in this blog post I will show you how I do my

5 minute (okay sometimes 10 minutes if my brows does not cooperate) make up routine. Quick

and easy to achieve. A go to make up for just running an errand, school (if you are allowed to wear)

or having some lunch dates with your girlies!

For the Face, I use BB Cream from Laneige. I swear this one is really worth investing in! Just a single dab can really go a long way.

For my under eye circles, I use Cover Girl Everyday Gorgeous. I just found this recently
and I am loving it. Again, a little dab is enough.

Lastly, A compact powder to set everything in place.

Pinto Art Museum

Going to museums has become more of a trend nowadays. I've been hearing about this museum for

quite some time now. I really got curious so I decided to browse through web to check it myself.

The place is huge and beautiful! I am really  excited to see the amazing pieces and structures plus, to

take photos of my ootds HAHA! I need to go there ASAP. We (my sister and cousins) decided to go

there on a weekday so it wouldn't be over crowded. The moment we got there it felt like we own the

place! Yay for unending poses without feeling ashamed nor awkward! We appreciated the arts even

more since it was a breeze to check everything. Hands down to all the people who contributed. The

whole thing was remarkable and beyond our expectations. I also love what they did to the place feels

like they transported you to another city (to think Antipolo and Manila is just 1-2 hrs drive.)

Everything felt calm and laid back. Wouldn't mind going back there again! Oh we also had truffle

pizza! SO SO GOOD!

Loving Red

You know how strong Red color is. It can make your look instantly sexy and classy. No matter what

you wear, carry a little red in you and it can create a huge difference. With this look, I wore a plain

crop top, a high waist  short and a booted wedge. I kept my eye make up minimal since I wanted

my red lips to pop! I also wore a necklace that I recently bought online. I love how it complements

my look. It was perfect to wear this necklace too because they're all simple but with an oomph.

Everything fell into places.

Perfect outfit for a ladies night out!

Day Trip

Last week, my boyfriend and I went to Nasugbu, Batangas to visit this holy place where it said to be

Mother  Mary showed herself to the lost man up in the mountain to guide him on his way home.

Thus, this  place became a tourist attraction since people want to see how mysterious the place was. I

am really  paranoid when it comes to anything miracle or horror stories. My imagination is all over

the place  that 's why even up until now, I can't sleep alone. HAHA! We went there on weekday to

avoid traffic. Since you'll head at Tagaytay first before Batangas. I missed how Tagaytay used to be

a "vacation place vibes" because now, the place is so established! Anyway the moment we saw the

place, I instantly fell in love with it! The place were covered with trees and you get that calm and

fresh feeling given that the smell of the nature and the breezy air was so relaxing. It was so serene,

peaceful and quiet. You can really forget all your  troubles. I forgot the name of the place but if  I'm

not mistaken, it's called "Mother of Salvation"

Since there will be lots of walking, I decided to wear a tank top, boyfriend jeans and white sneakers.

We should always have a moment and time to reflect and thank the "Big Man" up there. Instead of

wishing for the things that you don't have, thank God for the blessings that he gave and will give to

you. You never know what he has in store for you. Just keep on praying and trust him.

We continued to walk  to discover more of this place. And we saw this view!

Its so seldom to see greens around us everyday so I was really happy I got the chance to see how

amazing this was!

There you have it! If only I am sure about the exact name and location, I would have talk more

about this place. But hey, There is "Google" You may search regarding this.

Cheat.

Ever dreaming of having longer and sexier legs? Well, dream no more! This pants works like a magic! I'm talking about the "wide leg pants"  Not only this pants is comfortable but also gives an illusion of longer legs.

The cut is just straight which makes you look taller. A sophisticated style, super hot and chic look that can be worn in formal parties or just a casual night out with friends. Its also flexible as it goes with every foot wear you use.

In this case, I wore a white sneaker since I'll be doing lots of walking, I don't want my feet to get hurt.

That's it ladies! I suggest you must have at least 1 wide leg pants in your closet. Its really worth it!

Let me know what you think!

SALT

I'm not talking about the condiment here you guys! :) I'm talking about a restaurant that my boyfie

and I  discovered in Makati. Thank you Waze! You were such a BIG help finding this hole in the

wall restaurant .If you are on a budget and craving for steak, then this restaurant is for you! For only

200 pesos, you can have your HUGE T-bone steak with rice plus side dish.

For me, it was okay. if I were to rate the food it'll be 7/10. The meat was flavorful but a bit tough to

chew. Mainly because, the meat was too old or  they over cooked it.  We also ordered their

Ceasar salad, Guava shake and Buffalo wings. My overall experience was pretty good. If you'll

ask me to come and dine here again, I would say  yes.  I'll be back for their guava shake and buffalo

wings though. Too bad I was not able to take a photo of  the wings! (I liked it more than the steak).

Black + Denim.

Black has been a disastrous color to my clan. Since i'm Chinese, my family believes that color black won't bring any luck. Black=Death/Sadness. Hence, owning a "Red" clothes is a must for us for it will give fortune and blessing.

It's not that I don't believe in Chinese sayings, but I trust that you make your luck with hard work, patience and perseverance, you will succeed.

Good thing my parents are not that strict so I can still wear black clothes from time to time. I have so much love with black! Why? as it can give you an illusion of thinner body plus it hides all your stubborn fats!

With this look, I tied a denim jacket over my dress to make my look a little more edgy and ragged. instead of a casual handbag or sling, I opted to use a leather bag pack to make it more stylish.

Mug Cake

Hello Everyone! My hands are getting itchy today and I need to do something about it. I need to go

to the kitchen to make something delicious! Before this thing started, I always loved baking. It's my

first love. (will talk about my baking life in my next blog post). I was craving for something

chocolaty so I decided to make a "Mug Cake" This dessert is so easy and in less than 2 minutes, you

can have your from-scratch-worth-it-chocolate-cake. I want you guys to make this as well because it

really is so easy! promise! so I'll be sharing my recipe with you. All you need is a mug and a

Tablespoon. Grab your pen and paper and list down the ingredients!

You will need:

1 egg (preferably large)
1 tablespoon Oil (any kind will do)
1 tablespoon Milk (I used evaporated milk. But you can use any milk)
1 tablespoon Sugar (you can add more if you want it to be sweeter)
1 tablespoon Cocoa powder (there are tons in the grocery)
1 tablespoon All purpose Flour
1 tablespoon Chocolate chips (optional)

*tip: Use a wider mug so that the cake won't rise too much!

So basically, Just Mix all ingredients in the mug, and microwave at  highest power for at least 1

minute and 25 seconds  (if you want it moist and a little bit wet) or 1 minute and 40 seconds

(if you want it firm) Personally I like it moist. That's it! and your DONE! how easy that was! then

add ice cream or whipped cream on top! For a little adventure, you can a tablespoon of Nutella or

Peanut butter and mix it in the mixture BEFORE putting in the microwave. Hope you like it! and

please do tag me Here if you guys will create it so that I can see your version :)  Here's mine.

This is what I was talking about! haha! I used a thin tall mug. I was so afraid that it was gonna

explode! good thing it didn't.

It will deflate after its done. Too bad we didn't have ice cream that time. That's it! Enjoy!:)

CAPE.

I always wrapped towels around me when I was a kid and shout "Darna". Silly right? :) I always desire to have  super powers like Peter Petrelli (One of the main cast in the series "Heroes"). He absorbs powers! how cool is that!

Since its super impossible to have one, I just imagine myself doing extraordinary things like teleport to my favorite city, be invisible and stalk people etc. I'm now hype to talk about these but that's not our topic haha!

Lets go back to the outfit. Here's my adult version on how I style my cape top. Definitely way way better than towels!

I love how comfy this piece is. Its really soft and very calm to the eyes. Additional points of hiding my big arms! Anyway, Let me know what you think :)

I Am.

Hello everyone! Lets start off by introducing myself. My name is Allyssa Syiaco, "Lyza" for short. I'm a Chinese-Filipino from MNL, PH. I graduated from DLS-CSB with a degree of Bachelor in Science-Hotel Restaurant and Institution Management.

Aside from baking, I also love fashion. Dressing up and taking photos are two of my stress relievers. I created a blog before in "Multiply and Blogspot" but it was all about food.

I consider myself having a small group of friends rather than having too much who you can't trust. Knowing someone who makes an effort to make me smile and happy means the world to me. No matter how big or small it might be, what's  important is that there is someone who loves and cares for you.

This time, I decided to make a personal blog. I'll be sharing my getaway experiences, fashion styles, food adventures, and anything under the sun!  I'll try to make this blog as exciting and inspirational as possible. Hope you guys will like my 1st entry! See you in my next post:)

Much Love,
Lyza
